CNC Machining Materials — Metals & Engineering Plastics

In-house at our Dongguan facility, with dimensional inspection by optical measuring systems, height gauges and calipers.

Materials

Material choice drives everything downstream — tool life, cycle time, achievable tolerance, and whether the part survives its service environment. Aluminium 6061-T6 is our core material, and we work stainless steel, brass and engineering plastics on request.

Choosing for Machinability

Sometimes the grade on the drawing is doing more than the application needs. 6061-T6 machines quickly and is perfectly adequate for most brackets; 303 is dramatically easier than 304 where the corrosion resistance allows it. We flag those substitutions in the DFM review and let you decide — we never change a material without written approval.
